So a while ago I bought a processor that was intended for a HT room that is going to be developed when the funds avail themselves, used it for atleast 2mnths constantly, then packed it away till the time comes of actually using it for it's intended purpose. I took it out yesterday swapped it with my av7705.Plugged up and connected everything as should be but I got no picture from Hdmi out (both of them) went through the manual tried everything possible but no picture popped up.i connected the av7705 back and no problems at all, ruling out any possible cable faults, removed the av7705 and plugged back the av7005 and the problem persisted .So I tried master reset and still no luck, my question is ,does the hdmi get damaged just by being packed away ?
All hdmi in are passing signal through to both hdmi outs but do not pass video only passing out audio, hdmi arc works as intended (returns the audio from tv )
So that question still stands ,does hdmi boards get damaged and only damage the video part of it and leave the audio part working ? Or is there something I can do to rectify this?
Just to clarify incase I'm not being specific, the processor in question is the marantz av7005.
