KenMasters & co - please gather round.
Gents, I need advice.
We?ve got a fairly elaborate Coax cabling reticulation throughout the new house, from a previous DSTV installation. We're not inclined to set up DSTV again, unless absolutely unavoidable.
I now want to set up a single Android playback box with HDMI output to play IPTV, and feed this signal into said Coax cabling - so I?m assuming I?d need an RF Modulator of some sort.
Is there a modulator available that can convert the HDMI signal directly into RF that can be distributed and tuned to by the TV?s connected?
All the commercial units available seem to only support Composite Inputs for RF conversion.
As much as I'd love to do a distributed HDMI solution, it's simply not feasible - there are TV's distributed throughout the house, office and entertainment area - so I'd much rather use the existing Coax infrastructure for Live TV and sporting events playback, and just put down playback boxes for on-demand media streaming where necessary.
Any advice or alternative suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
