Hey all,

What are the downfalls of buying something today that is only HDMI v1.2 as opposed to buying something that is 1.3a?
I've read the HDMI wiki, but bandwidth and deep colour and all the rest mean very little to me. Would I notice the difference and am I just wasting my time looking at old technology?
