HDMI version1.4

Is there really a big difference between the older Version 1.2 , 1.3 and the latest HDMI version 1.4 cables? Should I spent more money on upgrade as I believe there is a difference in terms of speed and sound quality or is that only a myth. Glad to get some feedback on this please.
