New here so please help me out.....
Been given a HDPVR to review/test and still struggling to get all the info to make the right connections and make sure my AVR selects and processes all in the right way.
Another thing, how does the dual vs quad LNB affect the HDPVR? Quality? Does it matter if I use a LNB splitter in stead of the genuine quad LNB? I also have the STDPVR to hook up in extra view, so currently I only have a dual LNB and was told to just get a 8 port splitter to give me 6 LNB outs, 4 for HDPVR and 2 for STDPVR. Comments and recommendations please!!
Currently I use a Harmon Kardon AVR 255 with a HDMI feed from the HDPVR which is the recommended test hook-up as this would be the most probable method used by most.
So, any comments on settings on both HDPVR and HK AVR255?
What settings do I need check on the HDPVR?
Why do I have to manually select processing modes and formats on the AVR? It auto selects the oddest damn modes!!
I'm running HDMI to a HDTV 'ready'
Panasonic plasma. So, the AVR is in upscale delivering 1080i.
Does it help doing this or am I fooling myself?
