I came across products from De Villiers Atrisan Chocolate during last week and their chocolates are simply amazing.

DV Artisan is a micro chocolate factory situated in Hermanus that produce limited numbers of chocolates from "bean to bar" and they have five variants based on which bean is used.

Thus far I have only found it at Checkers, Somerset West, but I am sure that it will be sold in other Checkers stores as well.

Just as a comparison I tasted a piece of Lindt 85% chocolate over the weekend to compare to the DV chocolates and the Lindt paled in comparison, having very little of the cacoa bean taste and leaving a "fatty" residue on my palate.

So, if you love "dark" chocolates(the only proper chocolate) you owe it to yourself to try DV Artisan chocolates.
