Always interested in what I actually can hear have been doing a bit of studying and searching for easy (read: crude) tests to test loudness at various frequencies.
Came upon this site ( http://www.phys.unsw.edu.au/jw/hearing.html ), allowing you to run tests from 30hz up to 16khz...
Swapping around between the ears (just using the balance on the laptop) shows that at least I can still hear the whole spectrum (through my Grado SR60) headphones. Now, taking into account the frequency response of the headphones, the crudeness of the laptop sound card, it still makes for interesting matter when comparing the left ear (my weaker ear from 6khz onwards) to the right...
In the end what it boils down to I suppose is that we need to take care of our invaluable assets...
