Hi Ladies and Gents
I'm new to the forum. I've mostly spent my time on internet forums gaining knowledge on my vehicle which hasn't lent itself to the best crowd at times, but the knowledge gained is/was invaluable. I've always found myself spending a fair amount of my time reading up on new Home Entertainment setups and realized that I know shockingly little about something that I have a serious interest in. So, hello AVForums SA
I'm actually in the middle of a Home Theater upgrade at the moment. My setup was this:
Onkyo TX-SR 706 AV Received
Jamo 506 HC3 system
Jamo 250 sub
In the last 2 months, that's all changed and I'm now taking delivery of this:
Denon x4200W AV Receiver
Klipsch RP-280F front speakers
Klipsch RP-450C center speaker
Klipsch RP-240s dipole surround speakers
Klipsch R-12SW sub-woofers (2 of them)
Klipsch CP4 acting as Dolby Atmos ceiling speakers
So...a small upgrade from the previous setup.
All of this is running in a 4m x 4.5m room. So, overkill is definitely one of my approaches when upgrading something.
I'm still running on my tried and tested Samsung PS63A750 63" Plasma TV. It's been good to me over the last 6 years and I have not found a worthy successor yet. I'd ideally like to go for a 75" LED UHD model, but the current one available from Samsung simply doesn't have the processing power to keep up with today's demands. Hence the low'ish price I suppose.
Anyways, that's me in a nutshell. I look forward to stuffing my frontal lobe with some great knowledge on here and, maybe, share some of it one day when I have a clue what I'm talking about.
