Sooooo
As a few of you know I tossed Telkom out a few months ago.
Call quality was poor and my ADSL line turned on and off at will.
I moved over to Neotel and that lasted all of about five days until I (allegedly ) cancelled that contract.
It seemed beyond the cerebral power of the Neotel call centre that the reason i was complaining was that no one could hear me speak. Speak up please we cant hear you. Exactly that's why I'm complaining.
And phone quality was good compared to the data card.
Plug it into my laptop and I get a blue screen, and despite days of trying could never get it to work on my laptop.
When i did get it to work on my desktop speeds were so variable as to be useless for anything barring email.
Cap in hand i went back to Telkom and asked nor my cancellation to be cancelled.
Thankfully my ADSL line was upgraded to a 1meg line (whoopee) and it mostly works.
My phone line is just as noisy as it always was (one of the reasons for me leaving telkom in the first place) but at least it works.
Over a month down the line and Neotel claims that they have no records of me calling and complaining, let alone cancelling the contract.
I'm so glad there is competition in the Telecoms sector.
