My desktop was working perfectly yesterday lunchtime. Then I took a break for lunch and when I came back and tried to wake it up from standby (wiggle mouse/press any key on keyboard) nothing happened. Pressing power button - ditto.
Power from wall all OK.
I'm situated in JHB near the Wanderers. Any good techies I can go to locally in Sandton/Rosebank/Melrose Arch area? I don't want to lose music/pictures/docs etc. if some clown resets whole machine! And I'm an IT incompetent.
Is an old medium range rig: Asus Z97 MB, i7-4770, 32GB 2333Hz RAM, Win 10 on 250GB SSD and another 3 drives: 2 x 2TB HDD and 250GB SSD, SApphire Radeon R9 280 3GB graphics, with an 850W power supply.
