Help Malware

My fault,
I installed a DIVX codec pack for WMP and it downloaded malware that's affected the PC in a big way. I recall some years back on this forum the guys mentioned a very good malware removal tool.
Can anyone remeber the name of this tool or advise a good malware removal tool.
