This morning I noticed that I am getting distorted sound from one of the Quad 22L2s. After switching the speakers and inputs and experimenting I came to the conclusion that it is definitely the speaker and not input related etc. What I notice is from the one driver it sounds like a distorted signal being played rather than the driver itself distorting. So at first, I checked to see that my DAC was OK. It is more pronounced at low volume because the distortion isn't drowned out as much. :walled: :facepalm:
So far I think this must be a crossover issue. But I am no expert on this stuff so I am not sure how to take this further. Do you have any advice on what I should do?
Is there someone in the Greater Cape Town area who would potentially be able to or willing to assist me in taking the speaker apart and getting it fixed?
