My newly acquired Deccamatic (thanks Tom!) is in excellent condition for its age except for the usual suspects. It has a beautiful little 1954 Garrard "Model T" mechanism in it with nothing broken or missing except that as normal for something this old the rubber grommets for the engine mountings are hardened and brittle.

Also, and this is where I need advice as well, - the speed change mechanism rotates three differently sized spindles into contact with the idler wheel. The centre spindle is directly driven by the motor for 78rpm speed. What is not clear is how the two other spindles are driven. They are mounted equidistant from the motor spindle and has collars with a raised ridge in the middle which looks like the need to run on a rubber pinchroller on the lower half of the centre/ motor spindle. Am I correct and where would I find something like that, as well as the mounting grommets?

Yes, some cleaning still to do but the platter bearing and motor has been cleaned and serviced and are running sweetly!
