Hi, my Technics double tape deck is stuffed. The mechanics (motor) etc works, however the FL Display (the bars that indicate sound) is dead and there no sound. Its affecting both decks.
I'm not technical, but willing to do some self diagnosis if someone can tell me what to look at.
Its an RSTR 313.
All controls work and the cassette does Play, with no sound. Seems like the signal from the heads is dead, but its affecting both decks so the problem must be at some central point.
Even the Rec Input sees no signal.
Anyone know how expensive these are to fix. May not be worth it. Anyone want to buy this to tinker and use ?
