Every few years I have a hi-fi revelation moment. This is the latest.
I was floored on first hearing and it just got better over the next few hours. Turns out the amp has interesting heritage - striking similarity to Gryphon Audio Tabu Century - see pics. All I know is it sounds awesome.
Only snag is the alps volume pot is faulty - it works but the gear does not engage consistently. No problem with volume adjustment from the remote, though. Worth fixing for sure....
This morning's task is to make up a balanced lead.
Oh and maybe this amp will do justice to my Theta DAC.
