Hi Fi that got away

As I added my 2c to the "What was you first hi fi" thread, I was reminded of the Garrard and Lenco turntables that my dad took to the dump when he retired. Obviously I now kick myself for not keeping  those turntables. What choice pieces of equipment have you "lost" along the way?
