Hi Guys and Girls
I am wanting to upgrade my home theater system and i think i need some help with choosing a new processor and amplifier.
what I currently have:
Rotel RB-985 MKII amplifier 5.1 channel
Rotel RSP-980 surround Processor
Boston CR95 fronts
Boston CR65 rears
Mission M7C1 center
Yamaha YST-SW320 sub
My problem now is that the current system i have doesn't allow for HDMI quality. So i am looking to replace my processor and/or amp with a HDMI product. The problem i am having is that to replace Rotel with rotel will set me back about R33000 which is out of my price range.
What i am asking is what would my current processor and amp be worth on the second hand market and what options do i have for a new processor/amp? I have been told that the Yamaha RX-V675 would be a good option.... but how does that compare to rotel quality?
