In the last 4 weeks I sent two items to Homemation to be repaired. As soon as the items were delivered to them and registered to them I got a an email with confirmation. Then a follow up call. Then progress reports. One item was badly damaged and they offered to sort it out for me for free! Another item they need to order a part from overseas. Again I get email confirmation. I phoned the technician 3 times and he was extremely helpful, always inviting me to phone back if I need more info. To date I have dealt 4 people at Homemation in different departments. The same service and courtesy was given be each and every one. That's got to reflect the company standard. Well done, and what a pleasure to get such sterling service.
Contact HFX to have something repaired. I was first told they would help by picking the item up. I was impressed. A week later I'm still waiting, so I phone back. They are still trying to get the item collected. They will collect. I phone again. Person is not in. They take a message. No one phones back. 2.5 weeks later I phone back. Guy is not in, they take a message. He will phone back. Still no answer. The item has been with them for 10 days now. they have not even acknowledged that it has arrived. No follow up. No progress report. No phone calls returned. My initial contact with HFX was via their website and I sent them a mail off their site. 2-3 weeks now they have not replied. I have now dealt with 3-4 people at HFX in different departments. Consistently received bad service from each person. Perhaps that's their company standard.
Two companies in the same field. Very different service. The one I will be glad to deal with, the other I just want the item repaired and returned and hope I never have to deal with again. No doubt the experience of others will be different, but I found the differences interesting to say the least.
