Just putting this question out there - maybe there's someone on the forum knowledgeable on Honda Accord or cars in general. My car developed a peculiar quirk of therev counter jumping (meaning the rev's b lipped slightly) whenever the auto box was in first gear and the rev's were between 500-900rpm - so only did this when the car was coming to a stop and it gears down. I always felt that it was threatening to switch off, and if I was a manual, I would have expected it to do so. My old C180 Merc did that when there was a problem with the MAF or thorttle body oe, used to switch off when in netural sometimes. The reason I don't think the Honda did, was because it was an automatic - hence 1st gear was always engaged.
Even with a change of spark plug, it still continued to do this.
Anyone know what could cause unsteady idling such as this ?

Thanks,
Santosh
