I have never owned a diesel vehicle before. I think it is high time that I also start saving a lot on fuel bills like so many others that drive diesel cars
I hear these Hondas get 16+ km/l in town, which is great.
But, how do these cars do on gravel roads? I do go fishing regularly at a spot we own. Will body parts fall off if driving say 100km gravel roads per month? Will the car develop rattles easily, will the electronics last by putting this car through this ''abuse'' by traveling gravel roads? What else can and do go wrong with these cars when driving them off road regularly?
Or should I just get a heavy on fuel Jeep Hemi V8 and not worry about gravel roads at all ;D
I am also looking at a Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.4 or so. But this Honda and its exceptional economy is something I think I must rather go for.
I do not need a 4X4 where I drive, and the boot space is more than good enough. I only take fresh clothes and a cool-bag along, as all the fishing equipment stays at the river. So I thought such a car with this good economy is a good choice for me at this point of time.
But to drive such a well equipped car full of electronics on a gravel road does not seem like a good idea to me. Or am I stressing to much?
