This weekend I had the dubious honour to listen to two of the worse CDs I have heard in a long time :013:
Christina Aguilera's Back to Basics and Gnarls Barkley's St. Elsewhere. I have always wondered what Martin is talking about when he says a recording is compressed, but in these two cds I have found prime examples of the worst effect of compression!
At low volume levels I could hear distortion, so I can just imagine what it would sound like at higher levels! I have listened to both on my setup at home and in my car and it sounds crap on both.
Its a disgrace that something like this is sold to consumers :013: I am not surprised that people make copies of cds as I feel these cds are not worth close to their R150 sellling price, but even worse you cannot take it back for a refund!
