Ok, so I ordered some headphone stands at less 50% and they arrived today.
Works out to R350 each and as my order was over R600 the R90 shipping did not apply.

Unless you touch them or look real close I think most folks will not see the difference between the HOUDT and the SIEVEKING.
This changes once you touch them.  The SIEVEKING has a very smooth satin like finish where the HOUDT just feels a little bit tougher.
The bottom edges with the angles cut feel a little sharp but headphone will never go there.  I may give the edge a single stroke with some fine grit sandpaper.
The supplied HOUDT bag is like those shopping bags you buy at pick and pay or Woolworths tills.  The SIEVEKING bag is a very soft flannel.

This sounds very negative but it really isn't. It's a fine stand and it will look cool.

R350 vs USD150.....

I may sell one if it does turn out surplus.
May be overkill for HD40 whose beauty is on being compact and light for tossing in a bedside drawer.
