I recently had a call from my Security company claiming that our Alarm needs a new Keypad as Telkom have recently upgraded their system and it is now producing more voltage than before. This is apparently causing the Alarm to dial out more frequently than it should. The Alarm company claim a new keypad is R1600. Somehow i smell a Rat as firstly keypads arent that much and secondly it would surely mean loads of people would be affected. Any one heard of this or have any imput ??
