Some of you may have read that I have a basic stereo setup in my second lounge. It comprises of
NAD 317 integrated amplifier
NAD C540 cdp
Polk Audio RTi 8 floor standing speakers (8 ohm, 20-250w)
I am really not happy with the performance at lower volumes. I want something that will sound a bit richer and warmer with a better base response.
Yes, I know that the RTi8's are not ideal 'stereo only' speakers but are there any options for me to improve the sound?
Do I
a) change the speakers
b) add more power or change the amplifier completely
c) what else.....
I've got to the stage where I don't like playing music on this system and I need to fix this!
Cheers
