Lots of people do modifications to their turntables to let it perform better. If I may say so, most of it is really cosmetic modifications, that do not really alter/increase its performance.
I wanted to try to test a turntable's performance in term of Wow & and Flutter and Drift with an instrument. I obtained a Kenwood Wow-Flutter meter Model FL-140, that I want to use in order to test some of my Thorens 124 and Garrard 301 turntables.
Maybe I will be in for a surprise?
This type of instrument is also very valuable to use with Tape Recorders. Did anybody use this type of instrument to test a turntable's performance.
Kind Regards
Charles
