How important is our stuff to our partners?

I try to get Urshies opinion on sound quality,the aesthetics of various items etc..here are some quotes...."every item that you've owned sounds exactly the same","if its not small,black and modern,its crap","are you bringing that old,ugly thing in here","who in their right mind would buy those things"(FD took the speakers the next day!)"your friends are gonna love me when you die!"(this one really hurt)"cant you be like normal people and just buy something new that we can use".....am i alone?
