I am wondering if the forum has changed over the years and if so in what ways? I have not been an active member over an extended period to really have insights about whether the changes are cyclical of more fundamental.
Of late there seems to be only real energy when a debate is lurking below the surface for example. Little discussions of positive experiences with equipment, or maybe I just am not observant enough. I realise that social media thrive on debate and conflict between personalities, so maybe this is also true for this community.
I do think that the SA market is also very small and therefore the kind of experiences and exposure to equipment are also limited. The question about the Harbeths a day or so ago is an example of how starved we are. If the same question was raised on a global forum, a multitude of experiences and comments would be a certainty.
So my question(s) is, has this situation developed or is it only a phase? My take might also be way off point, so only thinking and wondering..
