Let me start by saying, this is not a political thread. Please keep politics and related answers out of the replies.

I am just wondering how prepared you are when disaster strikes?
We are fortunate in SA not to have events such as earthquakes, typhoons or volcanoes, etc. It does not mean it cannot happen though.
We do have other challenges though.
Cape Town almost ran out of water.
What if Eskom's worst nightmare happens and we have a total blackout. That would aparently take months to get back to normal.
Truckers strike recently, could have affected food supplies to grocery shops, no petrol at the pumps for weeks.
Now the banking strike.

But let's say there is a calamity in SA. (Say a massive coronal mass ejection knocked out all electronic devices and it's chaos in SA)
Do you have a plan of action for emergencies?
Do you have a plan that is shared with your immediate family and your close family/friends what to do in such an event?
Do you know what your relatives/friends cellphone numbers are by memory? (not that it would help if there's no cell service, but you get the point)
Do you have a stash of food and water?
Do you have a place where you will meet up?

What's your plan B?
