After much backwards and forwards I'm finally taking the plunge and buying a new sub. I'm buying either the Velodyne SPL-1200R or, depending on the release date, the Velodyne SPL-1200 Ultra.
My concern is that I live in a small second floor apartment. While it's very well insulated and for the most part sound proof, I have wood floors so I'm concerened that the vibrations from new sub will cause problems for my downstairs neighbours. Would it work to use the old squash balls cut in half trick to try stop the vibrations? I'm looking for a simple, inexpensive and unobtrusive solution. I know of the Auralex SubDude and will get that if there is no easier and cheaper alternative. Thanks.
