Can someone please explain to me (in plain english) how under amping or over amping can damage either your speakers or amplifier? Everytime I think I have Ohms law figured out I realise I don't know much about it. What does clipping do to an amp, when do you burn a voice coil or 'blow' a speaker. What causes a speaker magnet to rip from the spider, what would cause damage to a tweeter for example? What makes a speaker distort, too much or too little power, or both?
