1st number answered, Uniondale Petrol & Diesel. His name is Lood.
Gave us directions to his workshop and waited for him there.
Quickly found the problem, missing pin on u-joint at the input selector.
Said he'd make a plan for us.
On his desk there is the same pin for an Opel Corsa that happens to be the exact size and shape for my wife's Optra.
30 minutes and a mindbogglingly reasonable R350 later we were back on the road with just an hours delay.
He was also willing to turn us a pin on the lathe before he found the pin on his desk.
