I've been wondering about ways to power a sub. Class D seems the obvious choice. How would these 2 do as sub amps?

My assumption is that both of them basically only needs a transformer? The second one has speaker protection, which seems a good idea if you're pump that amount of power into a driver. Thoughts? I'm looking to drive 2x 8" JBL GTO drivers.
