Hi guys
Would be interested in opening up a discussion on this (cannot seem to find a recent discussion but point me there if you know of one!)
I have a traditional set up (I guess) of 2 x front floor standing speakers, a centre, two stand mount rears and 2 x active subs. I sometimes use my fronts for stereo playback for music but due to the fact that they are more of an HT speaker than a stereo one, I always run the dual subs when playing music.
My questions for debate/discussion is as follows. Are the front floor standing speakers for HT playback overkill if you are running a dual sub setup? If one replaced them with another 2 x stand mounted speakers, would one be sacrificing on any sort of HT playback quality?
