HT vs Stereo

I've always wondered what the split was between those that were more HT enthusiasts and those that were purely stereo listening enthusiasts.

I am in the 100% stereo camp. I've not always been able to understand the HT enthusiasts but neither have I ever sought to denigrate them.

I know the poll questions do not cover everything but there are too many nuances to cover so I chose what I thought to be pretty broad coverage.

Thoughts please.
