As the topic states, could anyone weigh in on the two speakers in the topic?
I've currently got the HTM4 Diamond and Nautilus 802's
Considering selling the HTM4D and getting an HTM1 Nautilus to match the 802's - which in principle should be a better timber match - BUT, I have a nagging concern in the back of my mind that the technological advances of the HTM4D may level the playing field somewhat, despite its smaller size.
On paper, the both play down to the low 40Hz range.
HTM4D has a more amp-friendly minimum impedance (4.7 Ohm), the diamond tweeter, and dual front ports
HTM1 Nautilus has an FST Mid-range (matching the 802N's), a nasty 3.0 Ohm minimum impedance and rear porting... in principle, it should sound "bigger", but it may miss some of the detail offered by the diamond tweeter.
Could anyone else weigh in?
Thanks!
