I pod docking station quick question

Hi guys
Think it might have been discussed before but just wanted a fresh answer on this ;D

Its a sound quality related question.

If I plug an Onkyo I pod docking station into my Onkyo receiver and play music from the I Pod through my HT setup (music would have been transferred from original cd to I-tunes and then transferred onto I Pod), would the sound reproduction be the same as playing a copied cd through my Onkyo dvd/cdp through the same HT setup (music would have been transferred from original cd to I-tunes and then burnt to cdr)
