Uses: (better read as, "what I care about more")

Primarily
Stereo 70%
DSTV and BluRay 50%
Other things like Xbox exist, but I?m really not that fussed about the sound there, as long at Dolby D

System

Marantz SR5400
Cambridge Audio DAC Magic
AppleTV Gen 1
Paradigm Studio 40 V4 Cover Fronts
Rears are B&W 602 S2 (Spot the upgrade process?)

As you can probably see from my profile, I?m more of a ?lurker? than a contributor.

With that in mind, I?d like some opinions:

The Marantz SR5400 currently performing both AV and stereo duties.  Due to circumstances outside of my control, having split AV and Stereo systems isn?t really an option.

To be honest, I?ve loved this Marantz and it?s never put a foot wrong for me.  However my new house has a Games/Entertainment room and I think it?s time to retire this amp and start building a secondary system in that room, using it.

My question after all this is:

If you had R10k (in 8 weeks or so) to start looking for a new receiver, how would you handle this?

R10k doesn?t really seem to allow me to upgrade to a new Marantz (5000 or 6000 series).
I want to make better use of HDMI, existing receiver doesn?t have any HDMI support and this complicates cabling somewhat
I want pre outs as an option
What second hand options (if any) would anyone recommend?
Additional zones would be cool

Thanks for any input  :dop:
