Buying speakers and amps, you will always see X watts at 8 Ohms and Y Watts at 4 Ohms etc. My question is are amps and speakers set to work on an certain set amount of Impedance (i.e 8 Ohms). Or is it dynamic changing from 8 to 4 to 2 etc. If it does (or doesn't), how does it change. What are advantages of lower impedance vs higher impedance.
