Importing own speaker cable?

Hi ALL
I am thinking of buying speaker cable (that is not available in RSA) from a US based organisation (actually The Cable Company) and was wondering if any of our members have experience importing this kind of audio hardware - and if so, are there any pitfalls to be aware of?
