Hi all you beautiful people, hope all is good?
So..... my home was broken into the past Saturday and our good friends decided to take my equipment!
Currently busy with the insurance to get it all replaced.
Now I havent been following or keeping up with all the latest greatest things out there ie TV's and amp's
The TV the took was a Hisense 55" smart (Full HD so 1080p)
I see the new TV's now are obviously 4k but what I don't know about is the HDR part, what is that? And i saw UHD and ULED, since i'll have round about 10k to buy a TV what would you guys recommend?
Also the amp to be replaced is the Marantz SR5008 the replacement being SR5013, so obviously I would like to utilise the most from the picture, so for instance if the AMP can handle HDR then the TV must have that too and then have the 4k HDMI cables also.
Do I have the just of it or am I missing a fatal part?
My media server wasn't stolen i'll just have to upgrade the video card to accommodate the 4k and the Playstation 4 they stole is capable of all the awesomeness already.
The speakers I might have lined up already, not sure.
So mainly asking about the TV and amp combo.
