integrated amp with preamp

Has anyone had success running an integrated amp from a preamp to drive rear speakers with my current setup cant get enough rear volume i have rotel rb 985 biamped to front rotel rb 976 driving rear and centre if i bridge the 976 the sound quality is not great thinking of using rotel ra 960 to drive rears any thoughts thanks
