If I wanted to integrate a stereo pre-amp into my current setup what would be the best way to do it?
I currently have an AV Receiver(CA 540R) which has pre-outs, 2 power amps driving my front speakers, CD player, DVD player and all the usual culprits(speakers, etc)
I am quite happy with the stereo playback on the current configuration, but may be able to get a stereo pre-amp for free in the near future. I was thinking of connecting it to the power amps, but are interconnect switches available locally?
To clarify, I am thinking of having the AV receiver(via pre-outs) and the stereo pre-amp(CDP connected) connected to the power amps(one input only per amp), switching between them when watching movies and listening to music.
Therefor I am looking for a switch that will take four inputs(2 x AV receiver and 2 x stereo pre-amp) and two outputs(one for each power amp)
