Ok, Mervin came past on Saturday to collect my old Yamaha. Was kinda sad to see it go but thats not relevant.

While he was at my place, the topic of car audio came up and Mervin said to me that he 'doesnt see it [car audio] as an investment.'
So, this got me thinking: Do I think of any of my equipment as an investment?

In short: NO! I absolutely enjoy all of my audio equipment. Granted, I do not have that much of it but I do not look at any of it as an investment. More as a hobby/passion. I find no greater satisfaction then relaxing on my chair in the middle of the room and listening to music. Its very soothing and effects my mood everytime. Whenever I drive somewhere, when arriving I often cannot remember the roads, how busy they were, robots... NOTHING. I find that my mind is completely in the music, either listening to the endless flaws in my car system or just enjoying a song. I have never bought anything with the intention of selling it to make a 'gain.'

So, I thought it would be interesting to hear your points of view on the subject. Do you regard audio equipment as an investment or whatever? Would you ever buy something specially for the amount extra you would make selling it elsewhere? Whatever your reason, just post it. :)
