Rant warning:
All these years with all these iOS fan going on about how great Apple is, I finally make a move and get an iPhone.
Not the latest, mind you, but a good deal on a 5S.
All is peaches for the first day, then the phone decides to download iOS 10. I stupidly accept to install. I mean, Apple are the good guys, this can only make it better.
WRONG! The phone is now a terrible stress inducing nightmare:
Email stopped sending; cannot MMS anymore; Swipe to open is gone; and many other options/choices that were previously available are now gone.
I have spent hours trying to resolve these issues without success.
As Apple no longer signs any iOS 9 fimware downloads, I cannot revert to the original OS.
Wondering if CellC will take it back and swap the unit under warranty. Today is day 7, so I wonder if I could convince them that this is an out of box failure.
