Having a difficult time decideing on how to finish iroko wood kitchen tops.
The choices are:
Linseed oil - raw or boiled. Regular stuff from the hardware shop.
Danish oil. Rustins from Hardware Centre.
Tung oil. Liberon or Rustins from Hardware Centre.
The chap that made me the tops is recommending that linseed oil be applied, but the born 'tweaker' in me wants to do better.
Popped into Hardware centre in CT and was confronted by a large selection of special oils.
After many hours online researching the topic, I am now thoroughly confused.
Just so I may add to my confusion, are the any members here that would care to add their 5 cents worth?
Note: The sink is also in the iroko counter, so resilience to water is an important factor to consider.
Thank you.
