The recent ?dibs? thread got me thinking on an issue I?ve wondered about.
Is there a problem with delivery and/or receipt of PMs sometimes on this forum? I recall vaguely that this was an issue at some point in the past. I believe this is the reason for the common ?PM sent? response in the classifieds.
I ask because quite a number of times I?ve communicated with a member over a sale or just general chat and the member just suddenly doesn?t respond to PMs where a response is expected, while that member is active on the forum and merrily posting away on threads.
I realise that it?s possible that a member may choose for whatever reason not to respond to PMs. I?m ok with that. I move on. However I will always be courteous to respond to any message I get.
But I wonder though if, for some technical glitch, some PMs aren?t received. It may be that others think I?m an ass for ignoring their PMs when I also think the same of them for the same reason.
