Is there a reason busy music sounds "bad"

Iv noticed on occasion. When listening to a few different lp players that busy music sounds alot less clear than say a solo ... Is it to do with pressings or the setup ? Ie  Dylan vs nirvana lp, the more thats going on the less you hear
