I purchased a pair of speakers back in 1991 they are identified as JRA. I understand that they were hand built as a demonstration pair and tested at the CSIR with the intention of manufacturing locally. Since purchase I have not seen any reference or even heard of this manufacturer.
Can anyone shed any light?
I purchased them as second hand from Soundlab, Bedfordview. I was looking for a good set of speakers but budget was tight. I got a call from Soundlab asking would I be interested in some speakers that just became available. The dealer aranged a demo for me and compared a test run against a set of Linn Index. I could not discern any difference between them so I purchased them and reckon I got a bargain. 18 years on they still satisfy me no end. They are a basic bass reflex construction, had one repaired recently due to a loose crossover conection. I will post a photo soon. Thanks for all the responses.
