KEF XQ5/XQ2C/XQ1 REL R205

I have been running KEFXQ5's ,XQ2C Centre,XQ1 Rears,REL R205 with Yamaha Z7 for last few years.All cabling used are Kimber and AR.I am looking to 'improve'my sound without really breaking the bank.Will a power amp paired with Z7 make a vast difference?If so,what power amp would you recommend?
