Kenwood KD-2055 Turntable any good for R3k?

Been looking for a (S shaped tonearm) TT in mint condition for some time and this one seems to be, but maybe R3k is a bit too much for this, or can I do better?
I'm willing to spend R1000 or so on a new Stylus and Cartridge in the future for whatever TT I end up with.
